Every few years somebody looks at the bill and works out that racks are cheaper, and then discovers that the software layer is the hard part.
This is an early project and I am putting it up as one — worth watching rather than worth migrating to. The interesting thing about the current wave of these is that GPU capacity, not web hosting, is what is driving people back to their own hardware.
