Weedout
A Safari extension that hides AI-labelled YouTube videos
#1 of the day · 10 Sep 2026
Weedout removes videos that YouTube itself has labelled "Made with AI" from the home feed, search, related videos, playlists and Shorts before they scroll past, and can auto-skip labelled Shorts in the player. Detection uses YouTube's own disclosure badge, not guesswork, so unlabelled material is out of scope. A dim mode wilts them in place instead of removing them, so you can check the filter before trusting it. Runs entirely on the Mac; no account, no tracking. One-time purchase on the Mac App Store.

The honest thing about this extension is what it refuses to do: it does not try to detect AI video, it reads the label YouTube already attached. That means it misses things, and it means it never accuses anyone. I would take that trade every time.
The dim mode is the detail that shows care — a filter you can watch working before you let it hide things. Two dollars, once.
