ThemeSweep

Removes the code that uninstalled Shopify apps leave behind

Uninstalling a Shopify app does not uninstall what it put in the theme: snippets, scripts, stylesheets and Liquid that keep loading on every page for an app that is no longer there. ThemeSweep scans the live theme, names which app each leftover came from, and shows the report before anything is touched. Cleanup runs on a duplicate of the theme with a full backup and one-click rollback, or comments the code out instead of deleting it.

Every Shopify theme more than a year old is carrying the ghosts of apps somebody trialled once. Merchants know their store got slower and cannot say when; developers know why and cannot bill for the afternoon it takes to find it all.

What I like is that the destructive step is fenced on every side — a report first, a duplicated theme, a backup, a rollback, and a quarantine mode for the cautious. That is the right posture for a tool whose whole job is deleting things from a stranger's storefront.
