Takes for Mac

Takes is a free, open-source Mac app for talking-head videos. A teleprompter beside the camera follows your voice, one button records camera and screen together, and every take lands in a plain folder next to its script. There is no timeline: Claude Code, on your own Claude plan, cuts silences and restarts, makes the 9:16 version, adds captions and drafts the posts. Leave notes on the frame and it makes a new version, and notes that matter beyond one video become rules for the next edit. MIT, no account, files stay on your Mac. By Marvin Aziz.
