SubSmith

SubSmith takes a video or audio file, produces accurately timed subtitles in the original language, and turns the player into a study tool: hover a word for a definition without pausing, then export the sentence with its audio clip, screenshot and definition to Anki in one click. It covers 99 or so languages, runs as a desktop app, and is sold as a $15-a-year subscription or a $40 lifetime licence with a seven-day trial.
