Google traffic is dropping and AI citation traffic is not replacing it unless you optimize for it deliberately. RankControl tracks whether AI models are recommending your content and why they are not.
The citation tracking is more useful than I expected. It tells you which queries return your competitors and which ones return nobody, which is where the opportunity is. I have not published content based on its suggestions yet, so I cannot report on whether the recommendations actually increase citations. The analysis of existing citations is solid.
Google still pays the bills for most of my clients, but I keep hearing that AI answers are eating the informational searches. RankControl's angle of tracking who actually gets cited is more concrete than another write-for-GEO checklist. Does it cover Hebrew or other non-English markets, or is it English-first for now? And for a tiny local shop with almost no blog, is there enough to track, or does this mainly help sites that already publish a lot?
