Cinematic screen recorder for Mac with automatic zooms

Video & audio

Visit site

Prequel is a screen recorder for macOS that automatically edits your recording. It captures your screen, camera, microphone, and system audio, then opens an editor with the zooms already placed, the camera framed, and a background applied. Zooms follow where you clicked and typed. Every zoom is on the timeline, so you can move, retime, point it somewhere else, or delete it. Switch layouts clip by clip: camera in the corner, beside the screen, split with it, or hidden entirely. Fourteen layouts for the same take. Subtitles are transcribed on your Mac when the editor opens. Fix captions by typing in the transcript. A teleprompter hangs from the notch, just under the camera, and follows your voice. The word you are saying lights up. Wander off script and it waits. Skip ahead or fall behind and it catches up. Export at up to 4K and 120 fps, rendered on your Mac's own media engine. Turn one recording into different formats without manually reframing. Switch from landscape to vertical and the layout stays intact. Free for 7 days. No watermark on anything you export.
