GlassBox
1 commentThe first launch from GlassBox

GlassBox runs each family of fingerprinting technique against your own browser and shows the raw values, plus a rough sense of how much each one narrows you down. It runs entirely locally — nothing is sent anywhere — and it is candid that the headline percentage is a model rather than a measurement.

Fingerprinting demos usually end at a scary number. This one shows the working: which signal, what it returned, and roughly what it is worth to somebody trying to link you across sessions.
The cross-browser comparison is the part I had not seen before — paste a report from another browser and it tells you whether a tracker would recognise the same machine. Uncomfortable, and useful.
