Flotnote

Flotnote is a floating Markdown editor for macOS that appears over any app with ⌘. Press the hotkey and a note panel opens in under a second, ready to capture a thought without leaving your current work. Notes save as plain .md files in a folder you choose, so they show up in Obsidian instantly with no import step. Full Markdown support with syntax highlighting, checklists, code blocks, fuzzy search, bidirectional links, backlinks, and tags. Open multiple notes in separate windows, move files with a command palette, and export to Markdown, HTML, or plain text. One-time purchase of $4.99 with no subscription, no account, and no proprietary lock-in. Built by Achan of Tiny Ship Sailors.
