BetterWispr is a free, open-source voice dictation app for macOS. Hold Option + Space, speak, and cleaned text lands in whatever app you are in. Speech runs on your Mac with Whisper, Parakeet, or Apple Speech, with no account and no cloud fallback unless you choose an API. It drops filler words, keeps a custom vocabulary, can switch writing style per app, and can take meeting notes with on-device summaries. Apache 2.0. Built by Kartik Labhshetwar.
